super 8
Sana and Lilia had the sweetest Cambridge City Hall wedding! They chose to have a Boston elopement because of all the unsureness surrounding LGBTQIA+ rights across the nation last summer. Their love for each other is truly so deep, and we’re so lucky to be capturing their big wedding day this May, too!
The Couple
Sana and Lilia first met Freshman year of college at the robotics club. They didn’t actually speak that day, but they recognized each other on the bus later that week and struck up a conversation. They soon found all that they had in common, like playing piano and both having the same taste in music and TV shows.
They didn’t go on their first date until a year after they met! Having been friends for all of that time, they finally went on a date for Lili’s birthday. It was the most romantic ice cream date complete with peppermint ice cream and a stroll along the Merrimack River.
Sana and Lili are loving life post-elopement and are excited for their May wedding coming up! We can’t wait to see them again and photograph their big day with all of their friends and family.
Cambridge City Hall Wedding Photos
We arrived for the Cambridge City Hall wedding, and there was a whole lot of construction everywhere… as ALWAYS in Cambridge! We ended up taking a stroll around the building to find a quiet, secluded spot to sneak away for a moment. We also explored outdoors a bit, and I love the photo of them crossing the rainbow crosswalk with the iridescent umbrellas that I got just for this occasion! After Sana and Lilia’s couples’ portraits, we took family photos and group photos before heading inside for the Cambridge City Hall Wedding. Planning your Cambridge City Hall Wedding Ceremony
Are you looking to plan your Cambridge City Hall wedding? Here’s the process:
- File for your marriage license before scheduling the marriage ceremony. You must visit the City Clerk’s Office with your intended spouse to do so, and this process can’t be completed through the mail. No documentation is required to apply for the marriage license.
- Your marriage license will be issued three days after you apply in person. The license will remain valid for 60 days from the date of the application and may be used in any Massachusetts city or town. The cost to apply for a marriage license is $35.
- If you have waited too long to apply for the marriage license and your wedding is scheduled for less than three days from the date of your application, you must file a marriage intention at the City Clerk’s Office and obtain a court order to waive the three-day waiting period.
- Schedule the marriage ceremony by calling 617-349-4260 or in person at the Cambridge City Clerk’s Office.

Love from Lilia and Sana
“I can’t recommend them enough. I have worked with them thrice (engagement, city hall elopement and then a reception). Each time they were extremely professional, and their photography was brilliant. They also made a super8 film of the reception and it was beautiful. Again, 100% amazing at what they do”
