KC and Evan’s wedding day was one Javi and I will remember for a long, long time. Not only was it a beautiful wedding but the thoughtfulness and details these two incorporated into their day were unforgettable. Plus, this venue, STUNNING. It was our first time shooting at the enchanting Willowdale Estate in Massachusetts, and it quickly fell into our “dying to shoot here again” category! Venue Spotlight: Willowdale Estate

Okay, let’s get into this gorgeous venue shall we! Nestled in picturesque Massachusetts, Willowdale Estate created the perfect backdrop for a winter wedding. With its historic charm, serene gardens, and cozy interiors, this venue can really do it all. The Tudor Revival stone mansion is just a quick 30 minute drive from Boston. They can accommodate summer weddings for tent seasons and multiple options inside for a indoor weddings in winter as well. KC and Evan had their ceremony and reception in the great room with cathedral ceilings and an ornate orchestra balcony. They also have amazing rooms upstairs for you and your bridal parties to get ready in if needed. From High School Sweethearts to Forever Lovebirds

KC and Evan have an incredible love story. They have been together since high school.
And these two share a love for each other that is literally worthy of its own movie. Although they grew up 10 minutes apart, they didn’t actually meet until they finally crossed paths at a mutual friend’s 16th birthday party. One of KC’s friends at the time was dating one of Evan’s friends, and they encouraged them to dance together for a song. One song turned into two and then, before they knew it, they had danced together for the entire party. Who would’ve thought that 16-year-old attraction would turn into a lifelong love?! Their first date was to the movie theatre that their moms had to drop them off at, SO CUTE!! You may recognize these two from their engagement session in the South End of Boston. Javi and I believe Super 8 is the most sincere and genuine format to document your love. Trust us when we say that there is nothing more authentic than film. There’s just something about it that truly captures true unfiltered emotion. That’s exactly how KC and Evan’s Super 8 film comes through! The director’s cut offers an intimate look into their love story, while the social media highlight is a perfect teaser for friends and family to relive the day.

A Love Story Reflected in the Details

We love when couples incorporate their unique love story into their wedding day details. KC and Evan took this to a whole new level! They sprinkled their special moments throughout the entire event, making it a celebration of not just their love, but also their journey together. During their intimate first look, KC surprised Evan by reading a love letter that she had written to him 11 years ago, marking their one-year anniversary. It was a beautiful, heartfelt moment that perfectly captured the love these two have built over the last 12 years.

From Love Notes to Custom Napkins & Coconuts

One of the most adorable details was the custom napkins adorned with love notes that KC and Evan had written to each other during their early years as a couple. They even had a coconut that Evan sent to KC to ask her to be his girlfriend. The coconut was found while Evan was on vacation in Hawaii when they were first dating and he sent it to her. I honestly think it’s so cute they have held onto it for so long. It’s a sweet reminder of the love that has been nurturing their relationship since the very beginning. KC and Evan’s adorable doggo, Charlie, played a special part in their wedding day, too. They named one of the signature drinks after him, a fun way to incorporate their love for their fur baby and the joy he brings to their lives.

Remembering Loved Ones

The couple showed their deep love and respect for Evan’s late mother in various meaningful ways. KC gifted Evan a truly special memorial pin with pictures of those who have passed away on his side of the family. They also made sure Evan’s mother was present throughout the day, with her photo displayed and an empty chair right up front where KC laid her flowers down to honor her memory. KC also orchestrated a surprise that left Evan speachless and completely surprised. KC coordinated for all the mother figures in his life to take turns dancing with him during the parent dances. It was a beautiful reminder of the unwavering support and love that holds them all together.

Throughout the day, it was clear that KC and Evan had poured their hearts and souls into planning every detail of their wedding. Out of all the couples we have worked with, these two are the most thoughtful. They thought out every detail and it made their celebration truly unforgettable.
