Nostalgic Charm of Super 8 Film

Let’s start with the star of the show: Super 8 film. Imagine an old-school vibe with warm, vintage aesthetics that will transport you back in time. The flicker, grain, and color palette of the Super 8 film brought out the nostalgia and romance like no other. It’s like watching your own love story unfold on the big screen but with that extra touch of authenticity and charm. As I said, Super 8 holds a very special place in our hearts. We launched our Motion Picture film packages after filming our own wedding in Super 8. Yes, Javi and I took turns with our handy dandy Super 8 camera and filmed each other.

When I first met Javi, he was actually creating and filming music videos with Super 8 film, and we spent a lot of time in the darkroom hand processing the film. It was during this time that we fell in love with the unique beauty and warmth of Super 8. It felt only fitting that our love was captured on Super 8 on our wedding day, and now we are thrilled to offer that same unique experience to our couples.

Capturing Ryan & Mel’s Fall Wedding at Dexter’s Inn

Meet Ryan and Mel, whose love story began with a first date to the Black Cow in Greenfield. When they got back home, they cuddled up and watched “American Ride.” Mel, thinking it was all about bikes, was less than thrilled. But then, to her surprise, it turned out to be a history show! Mel’s historical knowledge impressed Ryan, and they bonded over their shared interest. Who knew a history show could be the beginning of a love story?

Fast forward to their fall wedding at the Dexter Inn, and cue the Super 8 film. The rustic elegance and vibrant colors of the season looked insane with the vintage Super 8 vibes. Look at these shots of Mel in her gorgeous gown and Ryan in his tux popping against the lush greenery. I was seriously dying about how beautiful the film was looking against the venue’s rich tones. We feel incredibly lucky to have been hired by not only such close friends but also a fellow wedding vendor who loves film as much as we do! Mel is one of my best friends and I was so emotional watching her say I do, It was such an honor being able to capture this day for her.
