a letter to my resilient cousin
Dear Audrey,
When you first announced in the winter of 2019 that you were engaged to be married in June of 2020 I immediately asked if you and Stephan would have me as your photographer. I was a little nervous you would say no because I had never done a wedding of 200+ people before but you believed in me and said yes anyway. I want to take the time to thank you for not only believing in me but for always answering every question I had about anything that was going on and making Javi feel like he was at home with our family.
Little did we know that your wedding would end up being postponed twice due to covid. However, I will say that during this long two-and-a-half-year wait … I grew exponentially as a photographer and came equipped with the experience of several weddings leading up to yours. I was ready and believe me knew you both were too after having to reschedule twice.
It was an honor to photograph your wedding day and I am beyond thrilled for both you and Stephan.
With love and joy,
– Dominique

Pictured here are the bridal bouquets scattered around the living room after a bit of a mix-up with the florist. We received two bouquets that were for another bride. Not to worry though, Audrey’s brother saved the day and drove back out to exchange the mixed-up bouquets.
getting dressed
Helen, Audrey’s mom, forgot her jewelry that day and it was too late to go back home to go search for the misplaced jewelry… So I let her borrow mine. She’s wearing the earrings that I will be wearing to my own wedding in November 2022.
Audrey and Stephan’s neighbors offered up their SUV to transport the bridal party to the ceremony. Her neighbors spent all morning carefully washing and detailing the car just for them.
let’s hear it for the boys
A recipe for a happy Stephan: a vigorous game of volleyball, several large pizzas, and a variety of booze
and Audrey of course!
Lots of speeches and toasts happening over on the boy’s side. The man in the sunglasses is Audrey’s father who looks like he just walked off the set of the God Father or something along those lines.
Suit Up!
