When Lexi and Chris told us what they were envisioning for their engagement session, I spent a ton of time researching different locations before sending over a few options. They chose Singing Beach right away and said it was just what they were looking for. It is most definitely a beautiful backdrop for engagement photos, but requires some planning from getting permits to figuring out a safe place to park without the risk of getting towed. It took a bit of planning to make sure the day went smoothly and a call to Parks & Rec to double-check, but we pulled the session off smoothly. Plus, Lexi and Chris didn’t have to worry about a thing! So, if you are dreaming of a session at Singing Beach, make sure whoever you hire does their own research and has a game plan in place for you with all the logistics.

Choosing the Right Time for the Perfect Photos

Picking the right session time can make or break the lighting of your images and the energy of your session. For Lexi and Chris’s session, we went at sunrise, which not only gave us an insane sunrise and natural lighting but also privacy. If you are shy in front of the camera or don’t feel comfortable with PDA, sunrise might be the best time for you. Singing Beach is a private beach so it won’t be crazy crowded during the day, but you might see a few locals! This is also something we handle for all our couples. We always research locations we haven’t shot at before and the best times to schedule your session, to make it easier on you!
