When Lana & Nick reached out to us we decided pretty fast that we would do an at home session because they wanted cute photos with cats! Schnitzel & Nugget (their fur babies) were pretty unwilling to participate for most of the session, BUT we did end up getting some great photos with them!! Javi & I absolutely fell in love with the whole vibe of this engagement session & really let the locations we shot at inspire us along the way! All About Lana & Nick

Lana & Nick met at a college party and both ended up talking to a mutual friend about how cute they thought the other was! SO CUTE!!! Their first date was at the Museum Of Fine Arts In Boston. They both love each other’s families & are so fortunate to have such supportive people surrounding them. They let us know their favorite memory together was their trip to Italy & being able to explore a new city together. They are getting married in August of 2024 at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel in Cambridge, MA and we can’t wait to capture that memory for them as well!

Cozy Engagement Photos On Film

Right when Javi & I confirmed this was going to be a cozy at home vibe we knew we the film shots for Lana & Nick to take this engagement session to the next level!! We shot on Canon EOS 1V-HS and it brought the perfect amount of airy and natural light to the photos! We also got lots of black and white film shots and those are just as jaw dropping. I mean, just have a look below to see for yourself!!! Film gives such a timeless energy that stands the test of time. We are OBSESSED with the film we shot for them!! ✨

Special Details To Make Your Engagement Session Feel Like YOU & your partner!

Lana loves to bake so we suggested that she make some sort of baked good for the at-home part of the session. She made these delicious white chocolate lemon cookies that were to die for. Lana also sews so she even made her own dress for the outdoor part of the session. SO DANG CUTE!!

Another special touch we wanted to highlight from this session was the stone in Lana’s engagement ring. It was the main stone in her grandmother’s engagement ring. She decided to have it reset with just one stone but wanted to keep the same gorgeous setting that her grandmother had so she had it set in that stunning buttercup setting. We had never seen that setting for an engagement ring before but we totally fell in love with how unique it was!! STUNNING. ✨

A Sweet Walk Around The Neighborhood

After we wrapped up shooting in their apartment we ventured outside and walked around their little neighborhood in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We found all these cool locations you see below. This was a spontaneous decision to head outside so we really didn’t have any plans. Luckily the area was beautiful and sparked inspiration as we went. These outdoor photos were so romantic and how cool is it gonna be for Lana and Nick to look back on these in their home + neighborhood together before they got married?!!
