Winter weddings at Roger Williams Park Botanical Center are straight magic, and let me tell you why. This magical wonderland becomes an ethereal backdrop for your special day, especially during those crisp winter months. The couple’s decision to choose the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center for their January wedding was driven by their desire to showcase the unique beauty of a winter celebration. As Paige and Quentin envisioned, the evergreen venue would stand out in the quiet, serene landscape of New England during the winter months, making their special day truly unforgettable. It’s truly something straight out of a fairytale, don’t you think? That’s exactly how Paige and Quentin’s wedding played out this past January!

But enough about the setting, let’s dive into the heart of it—the beautiful love story of Paige and Quentin. Now, these two didn’t just want a cookie-cutter wedding. Nope, they were all about authenticity and preserving their love story through the art of film photography. And let me tell you, we’ve got everything covered—film, Super 8 and a dash of digital —capturing every moment in the most candid and timeless way possible.

The Love Story Through Film Photography

So, here’s the scoop. Both Paige and Quentin got ready at their family estates, which are conveniently just 10 minutes apart and gorgeous might I add. We were able to get tons of great shots of them gettubg ready before the first look. And for their special first look, they chose a bridge that holds deep sentimental value. It’s the bridge that Paige’s father built, and the emotions that flowed when they saw each other for the first time were simply priceless.

Personal Touches and Sentimental Details

Now, let’s talk about those oranges. Oranges were incorporated throughout the flat lays, and not just for a pop of color. You see, there were orange trees at the greenhouse and even one at the Chafee house. The dried oranges were a special touch, as they were part of the escort cards. It’s these little details that make a wedding truly unique and personal, right?

And why the Botanical Center for a January wedding, you ask? Well, Paige and Quentin wanted their venue to shine, and what better way to do that than with an evergreen setting during the winter? It’s not your typical wedding venue for that time of year, and that’s exactly what they loved about it. Oh, and did I mention that Quentin is the grandson of John Chafee, a former senator and governor of Rhode Island? Yup, we even did their engagement session at his grandfathers’ old estate. That’s one engagement session you absolutely need to look at. The pride and prejudice vibes are perfection! Check those at here, babes!

Paige & Quentin’s Unique Story

But let’s rewind a bit and delve into their love story. Paige and Quentin didn’t just fall in love out of nowhere. Nope, Paige and Quentin each grew up sailing on Narragansett Bay and vaguely knew each other. Little did they know that a global pandemic would bring them back together as adults! Quentin *slid into the DMs* in April of 2020 and asked Paige out for a walk-date. Remember, during the height of the pandemic this was about as good as it could get for a first date. They walked around the East side of Providence, and then then explored the Blackstone Valley park for another long period of time. It was a *very long* first date, but in the best way. Remembering that night, both Paige and Quentin felt like it was an immediate “Whoahhhhh this could be legit” feeling.

Flash forward to July 4th. After a thoughtful beach picnic date at Moonstone Beach, Quentin asked Paige to be his partner and from that point on, it was official! The two moved in together in East Providence in 2021 and later that year adopted Quentin’s childhood cat, Windward (aka Winnie) and they have been fawning over her ever since.

The Proposal and Celebration

And then there was THE proposal. Picture this—December 17th, 2022, at one of their favorite spots, the Pedestrian Bridge. After the proposal, both could hear cheering and screaming from the ends of the bridge and their families rushed to greet them. Champagne was popped and drank and then the crew headed to Hot Club. On the way there, Quentin told Paige that all of their local friends would be arriving to meet and celebrate with them. I mean, an engagement ring AND mozzarella sticks? Paige was in heaven, and who wouldn’t be?
