Quincy and Boston, Massachusetts

We are so excited to share Nina and Tom’s beautiful elopement at Quincy City Hall! These two decided to exchange their vows in front of their immediate family and closest friends on their 9th anniversary, and boy, was it an honor to document such an intimate celebration.

Connecting With Nina & Tom

Nina found us through a wedding group, and I’m so grateful that we found one another! We connected after I had commented that Javi and I were available on her date! And man oh man am I glad that I commented. Sometimes it feels like there are dozens of comments on those posts and it feels a little hopeless because most of these people never actually even go to your website let alone contact you. But then I got a call from Nina a couple of hours after commenting on the post. You know that feeling when you meet those perfect couples that just click and vibe with you? Well, Nina and Tom just vibed with Javi and me.

We immediately hit it off and had a blast capturing their candid moments with their loved ones before heading to the official ceremony room at City Hall. After that, we took some timeless formal couple portraits before venturing off to explore the city and other stunning locations in the area.

Timeless Couples Photos At Quincy City Hall

We went back inside City Hall to do some of their formal couples portraits before we went off into the city to do the rest of their session. Quincy City Hall has amazing natural lighting and many locations to capture photos inside and even outdoors in front of the fountains.

A stroll in the Boston Commons

One of our favorite spots had to be the Boston Public Gardens, where we got some breathtaking shots by the iconic willow tree. And let me tell you, these two were just radiating joy and love throughout the entire shoot – it was so easy to capture in the photos!

Quaint and Picturesque: Acorn Street’s Charming Backdrop

As we continued with Nina and Tom’s elopement, we knew we had to capture some moments on Acorn Street, one of Boston’s most picturesque locations. With its cobblestone pathway, historic brick buildings, and overflowing charm, Acorn Street provided the perfect backdrop for Nina and Tom’s photos plus their two beloved fur babies, Luna and Toby.

Wrapping The day at the Wharf

Since sailing is close to Nina’s heart, we couldn’t leave without capturing some photos by the harbor. Nina is a chemistry teacher at Quincy High and even instructs the sailing club, so it was the perfect way to honor her passion and make her day extra special.

“Dominique and Javi have been absolutely incredible to work with so far. At the last minute, we decided to do a courthouse wedding and were looking for a photographer to capture that moment and some of our favorite spots around Boston after. We ended up reaching out to Dominique and it was incredibly clear how professional, passionate, and flexible she was with our vision. We were able to bounce many ideas off of each other leading up to the day and they executed with ease.

Honestly, it was the best decision we made. They were on time, made us and our close friends and family feel super comfortable,  and captured a great balance of family/friend photos, posed and more candid ones. Their energy, their prompts, and the environment they were able to create made our session around the city our favorite part of the entire day. It truly allowed my husband and I to take the time to really be with each other and celebrate finally being married in a fun and intimate way. She even took the time afterward to edit out a large scar on my ankle, which I truly appreciated.

We have rebooked Dominique and Javi to photograph and film (on Super 8) our formal wedding in Connecticut this summer. Their professionalism and expertise have continued to carry into the preparation for this.
